Save the date: Celebrity Cruises and Fodor’s  Twitter Party

Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 is going to be a big day for me on Twitter. Not only will I be attending Travel Weekly’s monthly Twitter chat #TWchats at 3pm EST, I will also be attending the first-ever #SailwithCelebrity Twitter Party hosted by Fodor’s at  5pm ET/3pm PST.

For those of you who know me, you know that I love to use Twitter as a tool to help me connect and engage with like-minded travelers. So that makes Wednesday, September 18th extra special because there will be a lot of attendees willing to tweet with me about travel topics.

I asked Celebrity Cruises for a quote about their innovative chat but they responded with a message about the theme of the chat (read below). And you know what? That’s ok because Twitter chats are new to cruise lines and I have not found that many industry insiders willing to express their excitement for the medium (yet).

It seems to me that Celebrity Cruises is really putting a lot of effort into special events. Who could forget the great events I have attended in the Southern California market as well as the arrival of our first Solstice-class ship to the West Coast?
